The Toronto Group of the Aetherius Society was contacted by Deborah Herriot-Howes, a lawyer and the organizer of the Markham-Unionville Rotary Club, to arrange for a possible speaking engagement. She had been searching for a speaker on the topic of UFOs to give a presentation at one of their weekly meetings. She was surfing on the net and came across our flyer for the event we had held at ORIGO Bookstore on October 5th called ‘UFOs & the Spiritual Dimension’, and it intrigued her. She had been wanting to find someone to lecture at her group about UFOs for the past three years. When she proposed the date for the Talk to be on November 4th between 7-8pm, the exact First Hour of the Spiritual Push, we said, ‘Absolutely — even better’!
25 Rotarians (as they are called) showed up at the Al Dente Restaurant in Markham, Ontario, on Monday, November 4th at 6pm for dinner. They held a very abbreviated meeting which finished at 7pm, because Deborah wanted to give Allan as much time as possible for his presentation. Allan had edited the PowerPoint presentation that he had used for his 3-hour lecture at ORIGO and made it fit concisely into one hour, touching briefly on important points, but covering a lot of interesting material with his slides. Everyone was extremely attentive. Allan ended the lecture by saying that if he had to boil down the Cosmic Message of the over 600 Transmissions of information given by the space intelligences, into one word, it would be ‘Service’ or in two words, ‘Selfless Service’ and tied that in to what the Rotary Club stands for and their motto. The chairman of the meeting and president Peter Wong allowed time for questions afterwards, which Allan answered very well, and most of the members & guests stayed until 9pm.
